Michael Steele subbed for Hannity on 7/2/2008 and what a sorry specimen of an American he is

.

WHO? ME??

If not you, you clown, then Who? Isn't this the typical neocon attitude? They talk about tax cuts, and more tax cuts and making tax cuts permanent.
What neocon ever talks about paying to live in this country? But this seems to be acceptable: The Chinese, the Indians, the Saudis, the Mexicans, but NO, not us, at least not this generation. I want to keep it all for myself!

Neocons claim that tax cuts actually increase revenue. But one only needs to look at the deficits of the last 24 years (below) to see how much deficits increased during the Reagan and Bush years and decreased during the Clinton years.

Steele goes on that liberals are throwing around terms like 'conservatism is a pejorative' after Mr. Dukakis suggested that one refrain from using labels since they have all lost their original meaning, like 'conservative' when applied to Bush. Seems to me though that what Steele is saying applies to neocons who are doing what he claims Liberals/Progressives/Democrats are doing.

Is this all an indication of desperate measures republicans have to resort to to salvage whatever they can from the ruins that Bush has created?
