Too many Americans either seem to be too lazy, or not able to understand what is being said - in English, mind you.

Remember John Kerry who testified to events that were reported to him? That ended up as "John Kerry accused American GI's of atrocities.

Remember John Murtha, who also reported to Congress what was reported to him? He too was accused of 'accusing American Soldiers in Haditha carrying out a massacre'.

Remember Dick Durbin who mentioned that those kind of atrocities one would expect under Hitler or Pot Pol, which ended up as Durbin comparing troops to Nazis.
Then there was this bit about killing civilian in the middle of the night also by John Murtha.

Let me say something about the word 'compare' or 'comparing'. The word has two distinct meanings.
a. You examine 2 or more items to determine differences or similarities.
b. You mean that they are equal.
I can compare a flea to an elephant, which is totally possible, but I can't equate the two. So Durbin apologized for his statement, and shouldn't have. Those who twisted what he said should have apologized.

Now, in my observations, I see/hear most of these distortions - first on Hannity - and subsequently from those who frequently visit Hannity to get educated, by one of the dumbest bobble heads around. Hannity - who dropped out of school 3 times and a few weeks later claimed that he worked his way through college. One who spends 5 nights a week playing with a toy football, espousing the benefit of eating fat, salty Macburgers, the use of plastic bagging because he is not ecologically concerned. What else can I say? Maybe we could try to get his bosom buddy Hal Turner, currently in jail to testify to their doings without having to pay him a sizeable fee.
