Of course 'government doesn't create jobs' is what just about every republican will tell you. It has been written for them to be repeated at every opportunity, notwithstanding all the evidence to the contrary. It is government jobs that were responsible for lifting the country out of the great depression.

The government is the job creator for projects that don't, or should not, create huge profits.
