SHOCKING - Absolutely SHOCKING

Are you surprised that taxes everywhere are rising? Well, you shouldn't be. The reason is that you, the ones who keep voting in the republicans, the conservatives, including the 'compassionate conservatives' into office, whose main concern is to cut taxes, are responsible. Yes YOU are responsible! Now we have no problem with cutting taxes, but we are also cognizant that all the things that make this country what it is costs money, and necessary governments are non-profit and need to collect money to stay afloat.

If you keep cutting the indexed income tax, governments have to look elsewhere to fund projects mandated by law, so they resort to increasing taxes and fees elsewhere, which in fact is a 'flat' tax, the rate of it being the same for the pauper as for the rich, dependent only on the value of the items being taxed. A small house and a mansion are both being taxed at the same rate, but due to the value of the house the amounts differ, but then moderate tax increases hurts a pauper more than larger increases hurt the rich.

In other words, you can't keep cutting taxes when the tax base shrinks but the expenses can not be cut further. There comes a time when looking for more revenue becomes obligatory.
